Laila is a Dubai-based acoustic and electric violinist, live improviser and creator of original melodies. She is looking for a producer and partners who share an interest in developing her voice as an artist.

The artist / The possibilities
Laila performs from written scores, plays by ear and improvises. Her musical practice brings together acoustic and electric violin, ensemble performance and her own melodic ideas.
She is seeking a creative partnership to help develop those ideas into realised musical projects — with artistic direction, a team and the resources each project needs.
The first step is a conversation about creative fit. Specific concepts, production scope, budgets and timelines will be developed and agreed together.
What she brings
Violin × DJ is a distinct part of Laila’s practice: responding to the music in the moment and creating a live violin line through improvisation.
Solo performances, duos, trios and quartets in different line-ups. Duos include violin with a singer, saxophone, a second violin or a DJ. Line-ups are arranged for each project.
Laila writes melodies and has ideas she wants to develop with the right collaborators. These are starting points for creative development, with individual projects to be defined together.

Who she hopes to meet
Partners interested in artistic direction and long-term development: shaping a musical identity, selecting projects and building the team to bring them to life.
People and organisations interested in supporting an artist or a defined creative project. Funding, production resources and the form of recognition or collaboration would be discussed individually.
Musicians, arrangers, DJs, recording and visual teams who see a creative connection. A thoughtful introduction to the right person is welcome, too.
